MEET ANGELA BATES
I’m Angela—ghostwriter, storyteller, and the quiet pen behind the stories you can’t put down.
But long before I wrote for celebrities, CEOs, beauty moguls, and everyday heroes becoming authors, I was just a little girl who knew words were my calling.
In fifth grade, I wrote a story that moved my entire class to silence. My teacher held it up and said, “You were born to write.” For the first time, I saw the power of my own voice—how words could shift a room.
Life has a way of testing what’s inside of you.
Years later, in a community college creative writing course, I turned in another story—one I poured my heart into. My instructor emailed me to request a meeting, where she accused me of plagiarism. “You didn’t write this.”
She didn’t believe my gift could live in a girl like me. I withdrew from that class wounded, questioning myself, and I stopped writing—not because I couldn’t, but because I believed maybe I hadn’t lived enough to write anything worth reading.
But your calling has a way of chasing you down.
Years passed. I grew, I lived, I worked.
And then God nudged me back to the same thing I tried to run from—writing.
I started small: resumes, business plans, copy for brands.
The work was good, but my soul wasn’t full.
And then the stories came—the real ones.
Stories of heartbreak, reinvention, business empires, faith, power, and quiet triumphs.
I began ghostwriting memoirs for voices the world knew and voices the world had never heard of—yet.
Celebrities. CEOs. Beauty mavens. Visionaries. And people carrying extraordinary stories.
Every book reminded me: I was born for this.
Today, I write stories that make people feel, remember, and heal.
